Hi, and welcome to a new edition of The Daily Dealflow — the 5-minute briefing that gives you clear context on capital flows and market-moving trends across the Americas, from Silicon Valley to Buenos Aires. Let’s dive in.

### 🏆 Deal of the Day

Anthropic made its S-1 public on Monday, a step toward a Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT that could raise as much as $100B. The company had filed confidentially in June, and Reuters reports a public debut is expected in mid-November. If it prices at that size, it would top SpaceX’s $75B IPO from June, the largest ever.

**Why This?:** An IPO this size sets the price of AI for every investor on the continent, from Sand Hill Road to São Paulo. Latin American outlets such as Valora Analitik and Bloomberg Línea gave it front-page space, because a $100B raise changes how much capital is left for everyone else.

**Positive Context:**

- Revenue reached $16.3B in the first half of 2026, up from $1.2B in the same period of 2025\. In May the company raised $65B at a $965B post-money valuation.
- The news lifted the market. The Nasdaq closed up 0.82% and the S&P 500 up 0.70%, with the filing credited for reigniting the AI trade.

**Yes, but:**

- Net loss was $80.7B in the first half, more than six times the roughly $13B lost a year earlier. The company says growth should slow over time.
- Some investors now talk about a $1.5T valuation, down from the roughly $2T they expected before Anthropic disclosed some financial details at a recent investor event.

## 💰 Venture Capital

**Bedrock Robotics (US)** – $600M, Series C at a $4.1B valuation, a self-driving kit that retrofits excavators and other construction vehicles. CapitalG and Emergence Capital co-led, with Bessemer, Temasek, Nvidia, 8VC and Valor Equity Partners also in. CEO Boris Sofman and CTO Kevin Peterson come from Waymo’s self-driving trucks program, and the company, founded in 2024, has raised nearly $1B in total. Its pitch is a labor shortage: mastering an excavator takes five years or more, and over 40% of construction workers are expected to retire within five years – [TechCrunch](https://techcrunch.com/2026/10/26/this-startups-self-driving-excavators-help-dig-up-600m-in-new-funding/?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**Rebill (Argentina)** – $5.4M, pre-Series A, payment infrastructure that lets companies selling across borders accept local payment methods in Latin America and the U.S. without building a legal entity in each market. Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch and a SpaceX executive invested personally, joining existing backers Tiger Global, Y Combinator, SV Angel and Dropbox co-founder Arash Ferdowsi. Nahuel Candia founded it with a $20K loan, which is a fairly efficient way to end up with Tiger Global on the cap table – [Bloomberg Línea](https://www.bloomberglinea.com.br/startups/rodadas-da-semana-tractian-chega-a-valuation-de-us-14-bilhao-com-nova-captacao/?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**CapitalOS (US)** – $21.9M, Series A, a B2B financial infrastructure platform that uses AI agents for underwriting, compliance and fraud detection. LGVP led the round, which follows an earlier $39M raise. The company emerged from stealth in 2023, and its task volume grew more than 20x over the past 18 months – [Wisevoter](https://wisevoter.com/world/us/2026/10/26/capitalos-raises-21-9-million-series-a?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

Its income statement for the six months ended Jun 30, 2026 (unaudited) shows $16.3B in revenue against $17.0B in operating costs, an operating loss of $693M. The net loss was $80.7B, but $81.1B of the charges behind it are non-cash: its convertible notes and funding agreements were revalued as Anthropic's valuation rose. Operating cash flow for the period was +$3.9B.

### 🏛️ Private Equity

**Itaú–NeoSpace (Brazil)** – R$2.92B (USD equivalent not disclosed), 100% acquisition of a startup that builds Large Data Models, AI trained on a company’s own data in any format rather than text alone. Payment is split between closing and installments over five years. NeoSpace stays independent under cofounder and CEO Bruno Pierobon. This is the second time Itaú buys from this crew: it paid more than R$500M for Zup, founded by Pierobon, Felipe Almeida and Gustavo Debs, in 2019\. Itaú CEO Milton Maluhy Filho called it “um investimento estratégico” – [NeoFeed](https://neofeed.com.br/negocios/itau-compra-neospace-por-r-29-bilhoes-e-avanca-na-inteligencia-artificial/?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**HealthSpan Partners–Surgery Partners (US)** – $5.7B enterprise value, take-private at $23.50 per share in cash. HealthSpan is affiliated with the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, and Bain Capital, which owns about 39% of Surgery Partners, will roll its shares into the buyer. Surgery Partners runs more than 200 locations across 30 states with about 5,000 affiliated physicians. A hospital system buying a private-equity-backed surgery chain is the reverse of the usual Wall Street script. Closing is expected in Q1 2027 – [Business Wire](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20261025658025/en/HealthSpan-Partners-to-Acquire-Surgery-Partners-Establishing-a-Leading-Outpatient-Surgical-Care-Platform?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**Weave (US)** – $650M, take-private by Francisco Partners, completed at $7.40 per share in cash, a 34% premium to the unaffected August 17 close. Weave sells an AI-powered patient communication and payments platform to more than 40,000 healthcare practice locations. It delisted from the NYSE and stays headquartered in Lehi, Utah, under CEO Brett White – [Business Wire](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20261026813932/en/Francisco-Partners-Completes-Acquisition-of-Weave?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**Meta (US, Nasdaq)** – $95B equity raise, social media and AI infrastructure. It plans $35B in underwritten offerings, then $60B through at-the-market sales, and Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom have shown interest in up to $5B of shares. Q3 revenue rose 26% to $64.6B, but capex guidance now runs $135B to $145B for 2026, and the shares fell about 1.6% in morning trading – [Valora Analitik](https://www.valoraanalitik.com/meta-emitira-acciones-para-financiar-ia/?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**SpaceX (US, Nasdaq) and Range Resources (US, NYSE)** – debt financing and a deal pop, space and natural gas. SpaceX secured $40B in corporate bonds to buy AI chips, and its shares slipped 0.47% to $146.79, versus the $135 IPO price from June. Range jumped 15.95% after EQT agreed to buy it – [TheStreet](https://www.thestreet.com/stock-market-today/stock-market-today-dow-jones-sp-500-nasdaq-updates-oct-26-2026?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**Nu Holdings, MercadoLibre and XP (U.S.-listed Latin American stocks)** – election shock, fintech and e-commerce. Lula won Brazil’s runoff 51.8% to 48.2%, and investors who had bet on a Bolsonaro win sold hard. Nu fell about 25% to $11.30 in morning trading and MercadoLibre about 15%, while XP dropped 52% and Flávio Bolsonaro called the result “impossible to recognize” – [24/7 Wall St.](https://247wallst.com/investing/2026/10/26/brazilian-stocks-tumble-as-lula-wins-surprise-fourth-term-nu-holdings-sinks-25-petrobras-tumbles-21-mercadolibre-drops-15/?ref=theinvestorsociety.com), [Yahoo Finance](https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/xp-sinks-52-stoneco-down-131857688.html?ref=theinvestorsociety.com).

**Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d’Or**, the first Englishman to take it since Michael Owen in 2001, after scoring 73 goals in 65 games for Bayern Munich and England. Hours before the London ceremony, the Ballon d’Or website accidentally published three separate articles naming Kane, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé as the winner – [The Economic Times](https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/world/sports/harry-kane-becomes-first-englishman-to-win-ballon-dor-in-25-years-check-out-his-net-worth-career-achievements-and-more/articleshow/135223129.cms?from=mdr&ref=theinvestorsociety.com).
